St Patrick’s Day - an eyeful of celebrations

This weekend is St. Patrick's Day... We don't really need an excuse to get down the local watering hole, but its definitely a great occasion for it.

It’s in honour of Patrick, a wealthy Roman-British teenager who was kidnapped and sold as a slave in Ireland in the fourth century.

He escaped back to Britain and studied to be a priest.

He felt called back to Ireland as an evangelist. According to folklore, he used the shamrock to explain the doctrine of the Trinity to the Irish people.

He died on 17 March with nary a pint of Guinness or the colour green in sight.

As you can see, we like to keep things rather irreverent at OmniOptics.  In line with that, we reckon that if St Patrick himself were alive today, he would probably have adorned himself with some Ray-Ban RB2132 New Wayfarers in fetching green, just like the ones below.  Wayfarers are great, because they seem so adaptable and go with any outfit.

If you're into watching Robot's beat  the cr*p out of one another then you need to check out the new Dreamworks production, Real Steel (see below).  Any eagle eyed person watching the trailer will notice that the Wolverine and Australia star Hugh Jackman appears to be wearing a super stylish pair of Ray-Ban 3025 Aviator Sunglasses.
